Dedicated to the Promotion of the American Saddlebred Horse
Welcome to Our Farm
Owners Ed and Ada Perwien would like to welcome you to their Bluebonnet Farm, named for the spring wild flower that covers the hills of Austin county.

The Perwien's have been involved with Saddlebred horses for more than 50 years, and the farm is dedicated to the promotion of the breed. Ada & Ed were honored by the Texas American Saddle Horse Association February 2nd, 2008, as the initial inductees to the TASHA Hall of Fame for their longtime support, dedication and promotion of the Saddlebred breed. In honor of the award, Michael Fox produced a lovely video - click here to view. They were the 2011 recipients of the Gillenwater Family Award, the highest honor bestowed by the American Saddlebred Horse Association. In addition, Mr. Perwien was the 2011 UPHA Horseman of the Year.

There is more to Bluebonnet Farm than just a working horse facility, it is also a working farm. Pastures, ponds, hay meadows, pecan orchard, vegetable and rose gardens are facets of this scenic country gem. Guests are welcome, call the farm to schedule a visit and enjoy a beautiful day in the country.
